Panasonic released its new notebook line with the 5 series, the R5, W5, T5 and the Y5. The Pentium M is replaced by new Intel processors: the R, W and T series share a Core Solo U1300 (1.06Ghz) and the Y features a Core Duo T2300. The Y adopts most of the changes: the casing resists a pressure of 100kg and the keyboard is waterproof. The new 5 series go for around $2,000 to $2,300. All machines sport a 60GB HDD, but the Y5 and the W5 do not get the new Blu-Ray burner
